for the 2008 Ms. Big & Beautiful Pageant

Each contestant that pays their registration fees in full will receive special recognition during each pageant preparation class and in the pageant Program Book.

A non-refundable entry fee of $500 is required to enter the 2008 Big & Beautiful Pageant. There will be no refunds under ANY circumstances. Neither entry fees nor title will be held over from one year to the next.

Failure to remit the entry fee in its entirety by each of the specified deadlines may result in the removal of the contestant and she will be unable to compete.

A color photograph of each contestant as well as a biography must be submitted with your first payment towards your entry fee. Each contestant must establish a platform that includes the motto in which you live by. Contestants may submit a clearly scanned photograph via email along with a brief description of how you plan to compete in the talent competition.

Your photo will be included in all preliminary advertising and on the contestant's page of the pageant directory. If your photo is not received, your image will not be displayed on the contestants' page. Please do everything in your power to comply with this request and email your photo to Nakia Winsley. You will be notified when your photo has been received.

Contestants that submit their entry fees in full will receive:

  • An Official 2008 Big & Beautiful Pageant Sash
  • A Welcome Journal with dates of classes
  • and a Pageant T-Shirt
  • Exclusive participation in four (4) classes* designed to prepare you for the pageant including Etiquette, Arts, Creative Writing, Runway Walk/Poise.

* Classes are for your personal enrichment and to prepare you for the competition part of the pagaent. This investment will last a lifetime.

Each contestant will also receive:

  • A guaranteed opportunity to wear one casual outfit during the pageant and the opportunity to participate in the formal gown presentation during the pageant. These two opportunities are guaranteed regardless of placement outcome in the pageant
  • Two makeup applications during the pageant
  • Two hair styles during the pageant and
  • One photo shoot to further your professional career.

All contestants are required to sell a total of twenty (20) event tickets @ $25.00 each.

All contestants are required to sell one full-page advertisement in the program book at the cost of $150 each. The contestant who sells the most advertisement (over $450) will receive a cash award! All ads and ad fees must be turned in no later than January 15, 2007 to be guaranteed placement.

- Third payment of $100.00 is due no later than 5:00 p.m.

- Fourth payment of $100.00 is due no later than 5:00 p.m.

March 1, 2008
- Fifth payment of $100.00 is due no later than 5:00 p.m.
