The Pageant

Hundreds of interested families and individuals convened in Orlando on March 25, 2007 to witness the Inaugural 2007 Big & Beautiful Pageant, A Celebration of Womanhood and Empowerment, held in Central Florida. With sixty (60) percent of American women sized 14 or above, the event helped to expand the definition of beauty while giving a voice to the majority of women often left out of mainstream fashion and beauty events.

The purpose of this event is simply to promote positive images of plus size, culturally diverse women and to create an avenue from which to launch successful careers for the contestants in the modeling and entertainment industry.

More than just a contest, the 2008 Big & Beautiful Pageant will offer contestants, sponsors attendees a supreme opportunity to network and implement a platform to celebration and promote positive images of culturally diverse plus size women of excellence. The 2008 Big & Beautiful Pageant will offer contestants the opportunity for professional experience with a portfolio featuring photographs taking during an all expense paid professional photo shoot including make-up and hair and also connections within the professional plus-size retail markets. The 2007 Big & Beautiful Pageant offered sponsors the unique opportunity to tap in an underrepresented market with an immense billion dollar buying power, and to also reach out to the viewers of the Urban Internet Television Network. Each year the Big & Beautiful Pageants will offer attendees a dynamic opportunity to network in an atmosphere designed to uplift and motivate the community.
